Description

Cursed Companions is a co-op horror game where what you say can save or sabotage your team. The game is always listening — say the right words, and you can cast spells or disable traps and unlock rewards. Say the wrong words and you and your teammates will get hurt.

Gameplay

Explore the dungeons and seek Treasure for the Dark Queen. But beware, for these Treasures are cursed with forbidden words that will hurt you if they are spoken.

Bring the Treasures home for the Dark Queen, and you will gain her favor. But if you don’t collect enough Treasure… the consequences are dire.

Remember, you must always meet the target!

Look out for loot along the way — selling them will allow you to buy equipment and upgrade your skills. And with enough gold, you and your companions can turn your humble hearth into a tasteful mansion!

Dungeons are procedurally generated, every run is a brand-new experience. The dungeons go deeper as the game progresses, so try not to get lost!

The Dark Queen assures you that all dungeon creatures are safe and cuddly. Just try not to aggravate them. From monsters that hunt by sound to ones that you have to shoo away by yelling, there’s always a way to survive your wildlife experience.

Communication is key to Cursed Companions — what you say or don’t say to each other will determine the success or failure of your mission. And don’t forget, the real treasure was the friends we made along the way.

Speech Recognition
The game is 'always listening', the game uses voice-activation game mechanics.

Use your voice to light your torch, to disable traps or shoo monsters away.

our voice can awaken monsters, hurt you and even your teammates.
Procedural Dungeons
Every run is a brand new experience. The dungeons go deep, so try not to get lost!
Solo, Co-op or Versus Mode
Up to 8 players for co-op mode, and an 8 vs 8 for teamplay mode. Play solo if you dare.
Upgrade and get better
Exchange Loot for gold to buy equipment like the Teleport Stone, various potions and more. Doll up your house with furniture.
Scary wildlife
Monsters guard that which you seek. Know their quirks, use stealth or your wits, or just sacrifice your teammates.
See how far you and your team can go
There is no end. Keep playing on and on if you can. Once you die, you start over.
Language Mod Support
Currently only supports English. But will provide easy instructions to add your own language using alternative language voice models.

History

Co-op games are a favorite for us, especially when playing with friends and family. The teamwork aspect is something we really enjoy. In Cursed Companions, teamwork is crucial—you’ll go far if you stick together. Proximity chat adds to the immersion, making everyone feel like they’re in the thick of it. We wanted to create a chaotic, unpredictable experience where hilarious moments unravel. And since we love horror games, we made sure to include plenty of thrills to keep the excitement high.
